Welcome to Outdoors Dietitian!!!

Have you ever wanted to get active outside?  Maybe going for a hike, 5k, marathon, bike race, but you really had no idea where to start?  Sure of course you need to start the “exercise training”, but what do you eat, drink, pack for that experience?  Or maybe you just jumped straight in and ended up “hitting the wall” or were on a hike and realized how hungry/thirsty you are?

Well that's where I come in!  I'm here to help you through the nutrition and help you feel the most confident in your activity, whether that be a race, a hike, or just enjoying the outdoors!

This blog is to show our experiences with prepping for our outdoor activity endeavors.

I've always loved hiking and biking!  Recently, we've started doing bike races and longer hiking trips.  That meant more research on, how much and what do I need to pack? Is one water bottle enough or do I need a Camelback?  What will the race rest stops provide? What should I be eating pre, during, post exercise?

Or maybe you have been doing sports, races, athletics but now you want to see how you can improve your performance.  I'm here to help you as well!

I have created this blog, as well as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and SnapChat so you can watch our endeavors and dream up and plan your own!  I'm also here for one on one nutrition coaching to help you plan for your activity!
